We are really looking forward to singing with you on Saturday 12 February in Monmouth at St Mary’s church. Here is some information about the event, including how we are managing Covid risk.

We have around 50 singers, so please allow plenty of time to register and find your seat. Registration will open at 9.30am and the event will run from 10-12.30.

As you enter, go to the registration desk to find your name and confirm your contact details for test&trace. If you've booked a score, you can also collect and pay for it here (£4). The choir also has to cover costs for our professionals (conductor, accompanist, soloist) and venue etc, so we would love you to make a donation if you can -- cash or card welcome!

As we'll be singing the Anvil Chorus, do bring along something metal to bang (pans/keys/anvils). The church will be providing refreshments through the morning. The toilets are located in the Priory.

To reduce the risk of catching Covid
Please do NOT attend if you feel unwell, or are experiencing any Covid symptoms, or have tested positive in the past 7 days.
We ask you to be double vaccinated and to do a negative lateral flow test before arriving (even if you feel 100% well).
    Masks:
    • Unless exempt, you will need to wear a mask while moving around inside the church.
    • You can remove your mask while singing, although we would encourage you to stay masked because of increased risk of aerosol transmission of the virus. You will be able to borrow a ‘singer’s insert’ (a little silicon frame that holds the mask away from your face), which we use in rehearsals and find very helpful.
    • If you are singing without a mask, stewards will guide you to positions at the front of the choir.
    • Please use your best efforts to socially distance throughout the event.

If you test positive for Covid after the event, please email chair@monmouthchoralsociety.co.uk.

If you’ve enjoyed yourself, do join the choir! Our membership secretary Gill will be there to answer any questions and help sign you up.
