Verdi Requiem Reviews Review of Autumn Concert 2011 for Argus

Singing Prize Every year Monmouth Choral Society sponsors a singing prize at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. This year’s competition, held on 23rd February, was won by Rachel Marsh (soprano). There were 9 competitors and some exceptional performances. We hope that Rachel and some of the other singers may join us as soloists in future concerts with MCS. Siân Winstanley, the wonderful soprano soloist in our April concert, is a former RWCMD prize winner.
